The blogoshpere was abuzz this week with several sites reporting that Chappelle was in talks to host a web-based subscription-only show. But his publicist, Carla Simms, tells EW that the rumors are not true. Another source told the mag, “He’s enjoying his life, he has a new daughter and is just doing what he’s really passionate about — stand-up.”
Can you really blame people for getting excited? “The Chappelle Show” on Comedy Central is still one of the best sketch comedy shows around.
Chappelle has kept a low profile ever since walking away from his $50 million deal with Comedy Central in 2005. Let’s hope we’ll see him again soon.
