Beyonce Loves Being a Role Model

Lots of artists shy away from the idea of being a role model — take Rihanna’s recent comments — but Beyonce says the role fits her just fine, thank you. Bey recently spoke to “Entertainment Tonight” about her duty, saying she’s always been aware that being a role model comes with the territory of being famous, and being a woman.

“Being a role model is something that every woman is,” she said. “Even if you don’t realize it there is someone always watching you, there is someone that admires you.”

“I don’t take being a role model lightly,” she added.

It’s good to see someone acknowledging what millions of us non-famous folks already knew. Like it or not, many people look up to celebrities for more than just entertainment. Go Bey!
