On Monday, Oscar-nominated actress Viola Davis confirmed in her speech at ELLE’s Women in Hollywood Event that she welcomed a new addition to her household.
She and husband Julius Tennon recently adopted a baby boy, whom they affectionately named Genesis.

Ironically, Octavia Spencer, Davis’ “The Help” co-star spilled the beans before Davis could. She reportedly said she became a mother “like two days ago,” she told People.
This is Davis’ first child with husband, Tennon, who has two children from prior relationships.
