Kelly Rowland Says She Almost Married the Wrong Man

Kim Kardashian and Kelly Rowland have been close for years. Although the public has been very hard on Kim since her quickie divorce, Kelly says it could have been her too. In a recent interview with Britain’s Daily she talked about being in a similar situation when she was engaged to Dallas Cowboy Roy Williams.

“I wanted that wedding. I wanted to be married,” she told the paper.

Kelly and Roy dated for a year then called off their March 2005 wedding in January of that year. At the time Roy caught flack for breaking things off the same week Kelly appeared on a magazine cover wearing a wedding dress, but it seems Kelly’s relieved about how things ultimately ended.

“You can just make wrong decisions in life,” Kelly said. “That was all part of growing up. I just think it’s important to trust your gut. I did a lot of soul-searching afterwards, and I want to be married, so dating is part of that process.”
