The blogosphere is buzzing with the news of a posthumous album after music producer Jeffrey “J.Dub” Walker, who worked with the late singer, tweeted some surprising details: “The smash unreleased song called “Steady Ground” I produced on #Aaliyah is gonna be on her upcoming album,” he wrote, minutes before deleting the tweet.
Walker had a hand in Aaliyah’s success by producing several songs on her 2001 self-titled album.
The singer died suddenly in a plane crash leaving the Bahamas in August of that same year. This past August marked the 10th year anniversary of her death and celebrity friends like Missy Elliot shared their remembrances. “Aaliyah, till this very day you are still in your own lane,” tweeted Elliot.
