In January of 2011 when actress Kim Coles decided to ditch her trademark micro-braids in exchange for her own naturally curly coif, she started chronicling her journey on YouTube. “For about two years I watched natural hair videos and was so inspired by the other girls who shared their journey,” said Coles, who is the host of Are You Normal America? on the OWN Network. After being inspired by legions of hair vloggers, Coles recently recorded the video above to share her own natural hair story with her fans.
