According to the L.A. Times, the studio made it official today by re-tapping the same two gentlemen, Keith Merryman and David A. Newman, who penned the first screen play.
So far, Think Like a Man has grossed $91M in box offices since its April release date. Perhaps Screen Gems was seeing green when it came to deciding if they would agree to a sequel. The original film took $12M to create, which is virtually unheard of in Hollywood these days.
There’s no word if the star-studded cast, including ESSENCE Music Festival performer Kevin Hart, Taraji P. Henson, Michael Ealy and more will be returning for a second round. It’s also unknown if the film’s director, Tim Story, will return.
As they say, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
Bring on Think Like a Man 2!
