Guys with Kids is the newest sitcom on NBC’s line up and stars comedian Anthony Anderson and former The Cosby Show actress Tempestt Bledsoe. The co-stars say that the new show will represent Black families in a positive light, reports EUR web.
“We just don’t have that right now, not on network television,” Anderson said. “Like The Cosby Show, this will be an opportunity to see the love, support, humor and beauty of a black family on TV.”
Guys with Kids, produced by Jimmy Fallon, is a show about three dads in their thirties trying to hold on to their youth. Anderson plays a father of four who, after loosing his job, is forced to stay home to care for his young children. Bledsoe plays Anderson’s wife and family breadwinner.
“A lot of them get funny looks because it’s not what people are used to seeing,” Anderson said of real stay-at-home dads. “This show reflects this new dynamic in the American family.”
