Luke James is in a dancing mood in his latest video for “Make Love to Me,” premiering exclusively on ESSENCE.com.
The ESSENCE Music Festival performer, who was nominated for Best R&B Performance Grammy for “I Want You” last night, enlisted Beyonce’s choreographer Frank Gatson Jr. to direct the video featuring a bevy of dancers strutting their sexy stuff on the dancefloor. The video was inspired by African-American artist Ernie Barnes’ “Sugar Shack” painting (of Good Times fame) and stars James’ celebrity friends Kelly Rowland, Omari Hardwick, En Vogue’s Terry Ellis, and newcomer Stacy Barthe. “I want people to catch the party feeling; make it a fellowship of spiritual sensuality in the act of dance,” he tells ESSENCE.com.
The single is the latest offering from the New Orleans native’s upcoming album Made to Love, slated for a 2013 release.
