The pending divorce between Los Angeles Lakers star player Kobe Bryant and his wife Vanessa Bryant is officially a no-go. The happy couple say they plan to stick with their marriage.
In December of 2011, Bryant filed for divorce from her husband of 10 years. At the time, many fans were shocked by the news because the couple had seemingly endured so much together – including when Bryant stood by his side after he was accused of sexual assault. Back when Vanessa filed for divorce, rumors circulated that other basketball wives had revealed Bryant’s infidelity to her and she’d had enough.
Last night, Bryant announced the news via Instagram, writing: “We are pleased to announce that we have reconciled. Our divorce action will be dismissed. We are looking forward to our future together.”
Shortly afterward, Bryant took to his Twitter feed to confirm the news. “I am happy to say that Vanessa and I are moving on with our lives together as a family,” he wrote. “When the show ends and the music stops, the journey is made beautiful by having that someone to share it with. Thank you all for your support and prayers!”
Although their divorce was still pending, over the last year, the Bryants seemed to be working things out and were frequently spotted together at Lakers games with their two daughters, Natalia and Gianna.
The couple first met on the set of a music video shoot in 1999. It looks like love has prevailed, and they’re keeping their family together. Are you happy to hear it? Share your comments below!
