How did you meet your man?
He introduced himself to me at a bar.
Markova, were you looking for love at the time?
I wasn’t looking for love, but I was open to it if it happened.
What was your first impression of Chris?
I thought Chris was handsome and confident.
What was his first impression of you?
He thought I was beautiful with a stunning smile and great personality.
Did you play hard to get?
No, I didn’t. Chris just seemed nice. I didn’t get the immediate impression that he was trying to date me. I thought he was just trying to meet the “lady on the news.”
Describe your most romantic date ever?
After Chris and I had been dating for several months we went to New York for his birthday. We saw the Broadway show Memphis and the way Chris showed emotion during the show really touched me.
At what moment did you know he was “The One?”
I don’t believe there was a “moment,” but after several months together, I knew we were a good fit. I just love spending time with him!
How did he pop the question?
He proposed at the restaurant where we first met with 100 yards of red ribbon and 10 love notes attached. The last note asked me to be his wife. It was super romantic!
What was really going through your mind as he proposed?
I couldn’t believe it was finally happening and that we were about to start our lives together as a married couple.
Did you have a hunch he was going to propose?
I didn’t know when or how but I knew he was going to.
Chris, were you nervous about proposing?
Absolutely not! I was excited about proposing to her and surprising her when she least expected it.
What are you most looking forward to about marriage?
Starting a family with Chris, building our life together and sharing my life with a wonderful man.
