Idris Elba escaped injuries after a car he was driving flipped over while he filmed an upcoming documentary.
The 41-year-old actor was in Finland shooting a racing documentary, titled Idris Elba: King of Speed, when he went over an embankment that overturned the vehicle.
“I never want to do that again,” Elba told UK newspaper The Sun. “It’s the first time that I have ever rolled a car. I wasn’t going fast, the car just had a mind of its own when it hit the band. I cut the corner and then we rolled.”
The Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom star continued filming after the accident and later talked of his love for speed and buying his first car at age 14.
“It was a Mini Clubman,” said Elba. “To buy a car at 14 you must have facial hair because when you have facial hair at 14 people don’t ask your age.”
The two-part BBC documentary is set to air in the UK on December 26 and 27.
