Fans may be in for a double-dose of funny if Kevin Hart and Jamie Foxx team up for Screen Gems’ Black Phantom. It has been confirmed that Hart and Foxx are in talks to star in the action-comedy about a mob hit man who enlists the help of “Black Phantom,” the same hit man who was sent to kill him. The project would be a reunion for Hart with his Ride Along director Tim Story and producer Will Packer both set to helm the film. Hart will star in the summer sequel Think Like a Man Too, set to hit theaters June 20 and Foxx’s next project, Annie, will premiere this Christmas. [HollywoodReporter]
Queen Latifah is set to executive the produce feature film November Rule, a romantic comedy starring Tatyana Ali, La La Anthony, Macy Gray, Kali Hawk, DJ Qualls, and Mo McRae. The story follows a man who has a “November Rule” to stay away form relationships when November rolls around. He meets his dream woman but can’t seem to break away from the rule until her loses her and has to get her back. The film will be produced under Queen Latifah’s Flavor Unit Entertainment. [Vibe]
Keke Palmer has signed on to join the cast of Showtime’s Masters of Sex which follows famed sex researchers William Masters and Virginia Johnson. Palmer will guest star as the Master’s nanny, Coral, whom they hire to take care of their new baby. Production for season two of the series will begin mid-March in Los Angeles. [Variety]
A song co-written by Alicia Keys, Pharrell Williams and Kendrick Lamar will make an appearance on the Spider-Man 2 soundtrack. “It’s On Again” was produced by Williams and performed by Keys and Kendrick Lamar. The soundtrack is set for a April 22 release. [HollywoodReporter]
