Fitness fanatics Germaine and Charlie first met at the gym. She says he had his eye on her for weeks and he says that can’t be true, because the moment he saw her he just knew that he had to introduce himself. At the time she had just moved to the area and was in a new relationship, so they kept things friendly. She did give him her phone number to be nice, but didn’t expevt he would call since she made her relationships status clear. But to her surprise, Charlie called her the very same night. He was determined to connect with her and they enjoyed talking to each other, but they both agreed there weren’t any sparks at the time. They lost touch for almost two years.
Second Chances
“A few relationships later for both of us, were both fresh out of relationships that had gone completely wrong,” says Germaine. “Our paths had crossed again. I didn’t think too much of it at first., but then I started to notice this time was different,” Charlie felt it too. “After about eighteen months of life lessons between the two us I guess we finally acquired the experience that we would need to appreciate and nurture the relationship we are happily engaged in today,” he adds. “Since she has been in my life, she has been a continuous loving inspiration to me and my family and nothing short of a complete blessing.” Six months into their relationship, the couple took a trip to Jamaica for a close friend’s wedding. On the first night of their trip, Charlie invited an unsuspecting Germaine to sit on the beach with him. He brought up marriage and they talked about the kind of destination wedding they both would want to have. Then he pulled a ring box form his pocket and her asked to be his forever.
