For black women, hair is a personal and political issue. And, for many, going natural is not an easy decision. But, Amber Riley recently opened up on Twitter about her natural hair journey and left us inspired.
The actress tweeted, โI just had a defining moment. I apply my deep conditioning hair masque the same way I USED to apply my relaxer. #naturalhairjourneyโ

That moment was followed by Amber revealing that for a while she hated her natural hair, โI used to be one of those girls who hated the way natural hair looked. Then I woke up. All hair is beautiful in its natural state.โ

Itโs always great to see someone feel so confident in their own skin. Whether your hair is natural or relaxed, accepting the things about yourself that you might not be too crazy about is the first step to confidence and self-love.
