Star Jones’ VH1 scripted drama has gotten a new title and cast members.
Satan’s Sisters, the original title of the series, named after the book on which it’s based, is now titled Daytime Divas. The show focuses on the behind-the-scenes drama of a daytime talk show and the onscreen friendship of the five hosts who are struggling to get along when the cameras stop rolling.
In March, it was announced that Vanessa Williams would star in the series as Maxine, the creator and host of the show. Deadline writes that joining Williams’ Maxine as hosts will be Tichina Arnold, Chloes Bridges, Camille Guaty, and Fiona Gubelmann.

McKinley Freeman will round out the cast as Maxine’s son and producer of the show. Arnold’s character will play a stand-up comic with no filter named Mo, so undoubtedly, she’ll be butting heads with Maxine. Bridges will play Kibby, a sexually fluid former child star. Gubelmann will take on the role of Heather, a former beauty queen who likes to act morally superior. And, Guaty will play a headstrong, former war correspondent named Nina.
Production of the show is under way and is slated for a 2017 premiere.
