Donald Glover cleaned up at the Golden Globes Sunday night — after winning his second award of the night for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series (Musical or Comedy).
He won the award for his role as Ernest “Ern” Marks in his critically acclaimed FX show Atlanta. The show won the Best TV Series Comedy award earlier in the evening.
Glover, dressed in a brown velvet suit, thanked the cast, his producers, and his “Nigerian brothers.”

In his acceptance speech, the multi-disciplined entertainer underlined how surreal it was for him to be there. He remembered when his father told him, at a young age, that he could be anything he wanted.
“You’re lying to me” Glover said was his response to his father. The the young actor added, “Now I do stuff that I didn’t think was possible.”
Glover also went on to thank the mother of his son, and his son.
