Former Spice Girl Melanie Brown has received a restraining order against estranged husband Stephen Belafonte, ordering him to leave their home and stay away from Mel B and her three children.
Horrifying allegations have come to light as well. According to TMZ, Mel B alleges Belafonte abused and sexually exploited her.
The singer and television personality detailed a long history of abuse dating back to 2007, around the time the two were married. Belafonte allegedly ”placed both of his hands around her neck, began choking her and slammed her down onto the hardwood floors.”
Another incident took place at the closing ceremony of the London Olympics, where Belafonte “punched her with a closed fist and pushed her down on the carpet. Her skin was burned from being pushed against the carpet and her face “‘actually scabbed over the rug burns.'”

Mel B goes on to claim that Belafonte forced her to “participate in sexual intercourse with him and random women” and would secretly record the encounters, often threatening to release the tapes. She also accuses him of getting the nanny pregnant and wanting to have the baby live with them. He later demanded that the nanny get an abortion and “paid the nanny in excess of $300,000 of Mel B’s money “‘for alleged nanny services.'”
The Dept. of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms served Belafonte a search warrant after his brother claimed he had a gun, which Mel B says Belafonte kept locked in the bedroom closet — he is prohibited from carrying a firearm as part of a previous domestic violence conviction — the singer says agents did not find the weapon.
Belafonte has denied the allegations
