Former First Lady Michelle Obama praised Grammy-winning artist Beyoncé for her newly announced scholarship program.
On Tuesday, shortly after the launch of her program made national headlines, Obama tweeted that the Lemonade artist is “a role model for us all.”

Beyoncé announced a new program geared towards young women who “think outside the box and are bold, creative, conscious and confident.”
The scholarship program, which will launch this fall, will include four scholarships for incoming, current or graduate students at Howard University, Spelman College, Berklee College of Music, and Parsons School of Design.
