Closing out New York Fashion Week, hip-hop’s prince of cool, A$AP Rocky held an exclusive pop-up event in his hometown of Harlem which targeted the outliers of fashion- stylish skate-heads and rave culture influencers.
In an Uptown, 4-story convertible building, Rocky -under the guise of his creative agency, AWGE- presented a new sneaker line in partnership with mega sports brand Under Armour. The AWGE x Under Armour SRLo sneaker is a vintage-style rebooted skate shoe that comes in two color ways (black and black/blue), and retails for $250.
To celebrate the launch, Rocky and his AWGE crew (including A$AP Ferg), threw a 90’s style house party inside the Harlem building space and presented a different schematic for each level; the bottom floor was converted into a skate park, the second floor was a retail space with displays of the new sneaker, the third floor contained the AWGE x UA experience with built-in graffiti art installations- including musical performances and a rave party, and the fourth floor was the VIP perch from which Rocky and crew overlooked the festivities.
