Four-year-old Kiyan is never far from his parents. He and dad Carmelo share an especially tight bond. “My father died when I was 2 years old, so I know what I wanted from a father,” Carmelo said in an interview.
The happy couple recently celebrated their return to New York City. They attended a press event held by the New York Knicks to introduce Carmelo at Madison Square Garden.
LaLa frequents Madison Square Garden to support her hubby’s games with the New York Knicks. She brings along Kiyan to hang out with her bestie Ciara.
“Mel and I are not together all the time; we like to give each other space,” LaLa told Rolling Out Magazine. “I think that’s what keeps us going…he’s on the road working, and I’m working.”
