Amy Schumer exclusively released a parody music video of herself and costar Goldie Hawn dancing to Beyoncé’s “Formation” on Jay Z’s TIDAL music service on Friday, and Twitter found it extremely distasteful.
The video, which was also tweeted by Schumer, features herself, Hawn, Joan Cusack, Wanda Sykes and Raven Goodwin recreating the politically charged anthem while on the set of Schumer and Hawn’s upcoming comedy. The parody, for good reason, was not well received by Twitter.
Writer and activist Feminista Jones swiftly called out the “comedian” for her tactless rendition and sent out invitations to the #AmySchumerGottaGoParty, asking her followers how they would be arriving.

Amy Schumer responded to the backlash by posting her sexiest self on Instagram, captioned with Queen Bey’s infamous line from the track – “You know you that bitch when you cause all this conversation” – and gratitude to the TIDAL staff for the exclusive release.
Feminista Jones replied by kindly reminding us to take a look at the TIDAL staff.
