And fertility is not the only thing that Michelle is opening up about. As much as we laud the Obamas as #relationshipgoals and the perfect couple, like any two human beings trying to make life work together, the Obamas have had their struggles. The former FLOTUS revealed that at one point in the marriage that they went to marriage counseling. When asked why she chose to reveal that, Obama sighed a little. “For those young people out there who think that marriage is supposed to be easy. And marriage counseling for us was one of those ways that we learned to talk out our differences,” she said. “I want them to know that Michelle and Barack Obama who have a phenomenal marriage and who love each other, we work on our marriage, and we get help with our marriage when we need it.” But Michelle isn’t only dropping truths about her personal life in the books, she’s apparently also sharing her intimate feelings, and answering the questions some have long wondered. How does she really feel about President Donald Trump? As we all predicted, she isn’t really here for him. It turns out Obama harbored feelings of disdain ever since Trump’s birther conspiracies about her husband, which she felt put her family at risk. That, to Obama, is unforgivable. “The whole [birther] thing was crazy and mean-spirited, of course, its underlying bigotry and xenophobia hardly concealed. But it was also dangerous, deliberately meant to stir up the wingnuts and kooks,” she wrote in the memoir according to The Washington Post, which obtained an early copy. “What if someone with an unstable mind loaded a gun and drove to Washington? What if that person went looking for our girls? Donald Trump, with his loud and reckless innuendos, was putting my family’s safety at risk. And for this I’d never forgive him.” Becoming, the book drops on Tuesday (there’s still time to pre-order), but if you’re looking for more spoilers, details ahead of the release, Robin Roberts’ full interview with Obama will be airing Sunday at 9 p.m. ET on ABC..@MichelleObama opens up to @RobinRoberts in revealing new interview; says she felt "lost and alone” after suffering miscarriage 20 years ago.
