If you’re looking for a sore loser, you won’t find one in Wyclef Jean. While Haiti nears its election season, the former presidential candidate is moving on with his life. He recently announced that he’s working on a new album, and now we hear he’s accepted a post as a visiting fellow at Brown University’s Department of Africana Studies for the 2010-11 academic year. As a fellow, ‘Clef will spend a year engaging in “activities related to [Brown’s] Haiti Initiative, including lectures, faculty conversations and classes,” reports the Associated Press. A spokesperson says the former Fugees frontman will use his time at Brown as “a period of learning and reflection.” We wonder if this is ‘Clef taking time to prepare for a 2015 presidential bid in Haiti. Nothing about him surprises us anymore. What do you think?
