President Obama will blow out 52 candles today to celebrate his birthday.
For another year, the POTUS has planned a relaxing weekend teeing off a game of golf Saturday with friends at Camp David presidential retreat in Maryland.
To honor the Head of State, the White House has put together a gallery of 52 of their favorite photos of the President taken in the last year some of which include his inaugural swearing-in ceremony, the Obama’s visiting the prison where former South African President Nelson Mandela was held, and President Obama comforting families who lost their homes during Hurricane Sandy.
On August 6th, President Obama will be back to business as usual, visiting “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” –the first time a sitting president has been a guest on the show.
There is no word from the White House on how President Obama intends on celebrating today, but we are sure he will have a good time with friends and family.
