Ledisi announced her 20-city national tour, which will make stops in Baltimore, New York, Raleigh and Chicago, among others. Newcomer Timothy Bloom will be the opening act.
The soul songstress tells ESSENCE.com she’s prepping for her big moment by getting lots of rest and taking care of her body. “I’m excited and nervous,” she says. “I hope people will come. I’ll be giving a taste of all the pieces of me.”
The four-time Grammy nominee native takes things further reflecting on what an awesome year she’s had so far. Her latest album, “Pieces of Me” debuted in the top 10 on the Billboard Top 200, and was the #1 iTunes R&B album. Clearly, 2011 is her year. “Just dream after dream is coming true for me,” she says. “It blows my mind.”
Ledisi’s “Pieces of Me” kicks off on October 20th in Raleigh, North Carolina.
