Rosie O’Donnell, an advocate for gay rights, defended Morgan by saying, “I know you’re not homophobic, because News Flash! I’m a lesbian.” Morgan, a professional at adding comic relief said, “If my son was gay, I wouldn’t be mad him — I’d ask him to decorate the house.”
Since his divisive comments, Morgan has publicly apologized to those who attended his show that night, visited a LGBT homeless shelter in NYC and announced he’s in favor of gay marriage, according to Huffington Post Gay Voices.
