The funeral will be held at this historic Grace Baptist Church in Mount Vernon, NY, where the rapper was raised. A public viewing will be held on November 17th from noon to 6pm and will be followed by a wake ending at 8pm.

Sean “Diddy” Combs, Mary J. Blige and the Wayans brothers are among the celebrities invited to attend the private service Friday, TMZ reports.
While the cause of Heavy D’s shocking death is still unknown, an autopsy has been completed but results will not be released until toxicology tests are performed. These test results could take up to six weeks to return.

According to the rapper’s cousin, Ruddy Phillips, Heavy D may have had pneumonia after returning from the UK where he performed in the “Michael Jackson Forever” concert. Reports also indicate that Heavy D visited the doctor the day before his death with “flu-like symptoms.”
Just months before his untimely death, Heavy D was photographed working on his new album at Diddy’s NYC recording studio.
