Hosted by LL Cool J, the show announced which celebs were nominated for the 54th Annual Grammy Awards.

Rapper Kanye West was the happiest man of the evening after receiving seven Grammy nods, the majority being for his album, “Watch the Throne,” with Jay-Z. British soul singer Adele came in second with six nominations, including Record of the Year, Album of the Year, and Song of the Year. Lil Wayne earned five nominations, while pop sensation Rihanna and rapper Nicki Minaj snagged four.

But the night wasn’t just about nominations, Usher and Valerie Simpson gave a moving tribute to the late Nick Ashford. Nicki Minaj, Ludacris, and others also took the stage with exciting performances.
The Grammy Awards will take place February 12th on CBS.
