A total of 3.5 million viewers tuned in for an hour and a half to see how the Houston family is recovering from Whitney’s sudden death on February 11.
Although the official competitive ratings for other networks have yet to come in, OWN likely secured a spot in the top five broadcasts of the evening.
During the 90-minute interview Oprah spoke with Bobbi Kristina, who told the queen of media that she still talks to her mother. “I can hear her voice in spirit talking to me, saying, ‘Keep moving, baby. I gotcha.’ Her spirit is strong,” she said.
In recent weeks, Oprah’s been pulling out every trick in the book to attract more viewers. She even poked fun at her network’s struggling ratings in a hilarious spoof with Jimmy Kimmel.
Nonetheless, it looks like it’s working. Her ratings are skyrocketing.
