Fans will likely be very disappointed at this news. The crooner had promised to perform his entire discography in a series of two-night stops in Atlanta, Newark and Los Angeles. Despite the news, he does plan to return to the stage this year.

Maxwell also revealed in the statement that he plans to hit the road when his new album, blackSUMMERS’night, is released in late 2012.
