“Yes, my grandmother is missing. I haven’t spoken with her in a week i want her home now,” she wrote, giving out her bodygaurd’s phone number asking people to call the authorities if they saw the family matriarch.
Paris’ tweet came hours after her cousin, Trent Jackson, filed a missing person’s report with the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department. Katherine’s lawyer tells CNN she is worried because her client “has never gone 24 hours without talking to her kids” whom she has cared for since Michael’s death in 2009.
In another twist, Michael’s older brother Jermaine Jackson also took to social media to deny the report. On Friday he tweeted: “I want to reassure everyone (inc all sudden medical experts) that Mother is fine but is resting up in AZ on the order of a doctor, not us.”
“This is our mother and her health is paramount,” he added. “We are not inventing or plotting anything. We are following doctor’s advice. Period.”
The missing persons report comes in the middle of a heated dispute over The King of Pop’s will. On Thursday, his siblings — including Janet, Randy and Jermaine – wrote a letter to executors of his estate accusing them of taking advantage of Katherine.
“Since the passing of Michael, our beloved brother, you have failed to perform your duties as executors of his estate, but what you have not failed at is taking advantage of a grieving mother, father and a grieving family,” they wrote.
