See why we’re having black coffee with our eggs:
• Robin Roberts shared a short but candid message about her recent hospital stay on Facebook. The Good Morning America anchor spent a week in the hospital after battling a virus. “A latent virus, many of us have, was not responding to medication and was pulling down my numbers,” wrote Roberts in a Facebook note. “Our immune systems usually take care of a virus like this… but mine is only 59 days old.” Roberts said her stay took an emotional toll on her spirit. Fortunately, she’s back home and is back on the road to recovery. There’s still no word when she’ll be well enough to return to work. [Facebook]
• Angela Bassett is going to be a busy bee in the coming weeks. The actress will co-executive produce and star in the new NBC drama Vanishing Point. • Guess who’s set to appear on a brand new episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter? Kerry Washington and Shonda Rhimes. The queen of media created a buzz when she Instagramed a photo of herself interviewing Washington and Rhimes. There’s no word when that interview will air. [Clutch]
• Stevie Wonder payed tribute to Dick Clark last night at the 40th Annual American Music Awards.
