The voice behind songs like “This Woman’s Work,” “Sumthin’ Sumthin'” and “Ascension” is preparing to release a new album!
Maxwell, who last released a project in 2009, took to Instagram to share details about his fifth studio album.
“Get Ready For #Summers,” he wrote, along with a partial track list of seven songs with titles like “Beware of Smiles,” “Sirens,” “Of All Kind” and “Gods.”
“Very excited to share new music in the coming days. Hope you like it,” he tweeted last year.
The new album will be a follow up to his Grammy winning BlackSummers’Night album, which included hits like “Pretty Wings” and “Badhabits.”
The singer-songwriter last made headlines in June when he canceled his six-day summer tour due to vocal hemorrhaging.
There’s currently no word on a final track list or album release date, but we’re keeping our fingers crossed it will be soon.
