Harvey Weinstein recently announced a list of films The Weinstein Company will debut in 2013. Among them was Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom starring Idris Elba as Mandela and Naomie Harris as Winnie Mandela.
Yesterday, the company released the highly anticipated first poster for the film (see left).
The biopic, based on the former leader’s autobiography Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, will cover Mandela’s early life, coming of age, education and 27 years in prison, according to IMDB.
The Justin Chadwick film will hit theaters on November 29. A trailer is expected to hit the internet soon.
