• Audra McDonald has been added to the live production of The Sound of Music. The Tony-Award winner will play Mother Abbess, the leader of the Nonnberg Abbey. The musical, originally made famous on Broadway, will be resurrected thanks to NBC. Country star Carrie Underwood has been selected to play Fraulein Maria. Other notable cast additions include Laura Benati and Christian Borle. It’s all slated to air on NBC on December 5th. [Hollywood Reporter]
• John Legend’s bride, Chrissy Teigen, said Beyoncé brought her tears on her wedding day. The couple got married in Lake Como, Italy over the weekend and apparently the reception was a mega party. “I know I love Beyoncé, but I didn’t realize how much I love Beyoncé until the DJ played ‘Love on Top’ and I cry danced,” she tweeted. The glitzy wedding was attended my many of the couple’s friends, including Stevie Wonder and Kanye West. [E! Online]
• Jason Derulo says that before his 2012 accident, when he fractured his neck, his life was nearly out of control. The singer recalls drinking heavily and partying around the clock. “I was partying until crazy times in the evening then getting on the plane at six in the morning, walking in the airport like a zombie because I was drunk and hung over from the last night,” he said. “Before my accident I was on autopilot. I don’t really think that was the right road… I think my injury really helped me wake up a little bit.” [Huffington Post U.K.]
• Toni Braxton and Babyface’s upcoming duets album, Love, Marriage & Divorce, has a release date! The pair, who released their first single “Hurt You,” says their album will hit stores on December 3rd. This will be the first album for Babyface in six years and the first album for Braxton in three years. [EURweb]
