However, officials will charge The Voice coach with one count of furnishing ecstasy—a felony. Today’s news comes nearly a year after a woman came forward claiming Green slipped an ecstasy pill in her drink then had sex with her. Authorities say there were issues with the woman’s story, who claims the two had been dating for months and had previously been inmate. Green could be arraigned on drug charges today. [TMZ]
• Steve McQueen’s latest work, 12 Years a Slave, opened to impressive numbers given its limited release this weekend. The drama opened in 19 theaters in just six markets around the nation. • Venus Williams has gifted her Jupiter, Florida mansion to her mother, Oracene. Williams purchased the four-bedroom home in 2000 for $310,000. According to documents, Williams turned the deed over to her mother in September and it shows Oracene paid $10 for it. What a lovely gift! [TMZ]
