Hollywood rising star Keke Palmer will now add Broadway history maker to her resumé. The 21-year-old has been cast in Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella on Broadway, beginning September 9.
This will be Palmer’s stage debut, and she’s looking to singer-actress Brandy, who played Cinderella in the 1997 movie with Whitney Houston, for inspiration. “I feel like the reason I’m able to do this is definitely because Brandy did it on TV,” Palmer told the Associated Press. “In me doing this, it shows everybody that everything is possible.”
Palmers recently made TV history by becoming the youngest talk show host with her BET show, Just Keke, which is likely to get picked up for a full season this fall. She calls her Broadway debut a “dream come true.”
Congrats to you, Keke!
