Sudanese model Nykhor Paul is fed up with unprepared makeup artists.
The 25-year-old model took to Instagram on Monday to speak her mind about makeup artists that don’t carry her shade of foundation, Clutch Magazine reports.
“Dear white people in the fashion world! Please don’t take this the wrong way but it’s time you people get your s–t right when it comes to our complexion!” said Nykhor. “Why do I have to bring my own makeup to a professional show when all the other white girls don’t have to do anything but show up wtf!”
The model went on the criticize makeup artists for apologizing instead of fixing the problem, finishing her post off with a poignant statement that reflects the state of diversity in the fashion industry. “I’m tired of complaining about not getting book as a black model and I’m definitely super tired of apologizing for my blackness!!!!” she wrote.
