ESSENCE Features Editor Lauren Williams is sitting down with Michelle Obama and a handful of high school students at Howard Community College in Washington D.C. to discuss the importance of higher education.
As part of the First Lady’s Reach Higher initiative and a kick-off to ESSENCE’s second annual college tour, ESSENCE will be moderating a panel today from noon to 1 p.m. EDT with the First Lady, the Howard Community College president, the president of Howard Community Hospital and a medical student from Howard Community College. High school students who have been invited to the event will have the opportunity to ask the panelists questions about college preparedness and furthering their educations.
