This year, Alicia Keys and Chris Rock are joining forces as the hosts of the Keep A Child Alive 12th Annual Black Ball.
The running theme for this year is ‘Afro-Futurism,’ focusing on the brilliance and originality of talents amongst Africa’s entrepreneurs, artists, designers, musicians and activists.
The Ball’s mission is to raise funds to help Keep a Child Alive provide treatment and care for children and families affected by HIV in Africa and India.
“Their future is bright. But with 25 million people currently living with HIV in sub-Saharan Africa, we need to get AIDS out of the picture once and for all for Africa to reach their full potential,” Keys said.
Keys is also slated to perform along with WizKid, Lion Babe and other artists to be announced.
The concert will take place on November 5th and will be held in New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom.
