Everyone’s favorite awkward Black girl is finally coming to cable.
Two years after Issa Rae, the mastermind behind the Awkward Black Girl web series, inked a deal with HBO for a new comedy, Deadline reports that the network has greenlighted the project, Insecure.

The show, written by both Rae and Larry Wilmore, will follow the friendship of two modern-day Black women, Issa (played by Rae herself) and Molly (Yvonne Orji). The Game‘s Jay Ellis will star opposite Rae as her unemployed boo.
