Another day, another H&M designer collaboration. While there’s been much talk about the new H&M and Balmain collabo that hits stores on Nov. 5, the mash-up also follows an exclusive limited edition fragrance. The Eau de perfume is filled with top notes of tonka bean and white jasmine petals, with a woody smell of cedar, and the finish is a combination of white musk and Australian sandalwood. The gold packaging is also reminiscent of the beaded H&M x Balmain dresses priced in the $400 and $500 range.
H&M’s Creative Advisor Ann-Sofie Johansson explained to WWD, “this collection is a little bit more expensive,” after showing off that white and black dress with 250,000 hand-sewn beads. This is the first time H&M has ever used hand beading. “It’s the most expensive piece,” she said, “but it’s a real value for the money.”
