Brace yourselves: Terrence Howard could be hanging up his acting shoes.
The Empire actor opened up to Extra last week, where he revealed that after Empire ends, he plans on—gasp!—retiring.
“I want to give Lucious the rest that I have in this creative space, and then I want to raise my son,” Howard said, referring to both his Empire character and his newborn son.

Though he appears to have his post-Empire plans ironed out, he still plans on giving the hit Fox show his all.
“When you have Taraji P. Henson on your coattails, I’m like, ‘Am I still No. 1? Is it still my show?'” he pondered, noting that his small-screen success has bypassed his fame as a movie actor. “Yeah, I’m No. 1. It’s still mine.”
But take Howard’s retirement plans with a grain of salt: We’re happy to say that the end of Empire is seemingly nowhere in sight!
