Stacey Dash is back at it.
In a sit down at Fox & Friends, the actress and Fox News contributor had an interesting take on the uproar surrounding the controversy of this year’s Oscar nominations.
After saying she thought channels like BET were examples of segregation, the Clueless star told host Steve Doocy that a month devoted to celebrating Black history is unnecessary.
Here’s What Eddie Murphy Said About Lack of Diversity At the Oscars Way Back in 1988
“There shouldn’t be a Black history month,” she said. “You know? We’re Americans. Period. That’s it.”
Dash also shared thoughts on inclusion and called Jada Pinkett-Smith’s proposed Academy Awards boycott absurd.
“I think it’s ludicrous because we have to make up our minds. Either we want to have segregation or integration. And if we don’t want segregation then we need to get rid of channels like BET and the BET Awards and the Image Awards where you’re only awarded if you’re Black. If it were the other way around we would be up in arms. it’s a double standard.”
But not one to be here for the foolery, BET posted to Instagram a clapback of epic proportions.
