Congratulations are in order for the cast and crew of Eclipsed and The Color Purple the Musical as both Broadway productions received nominations for the 66th annual Outer Critics Circle Awards.
Eclipsed, written by The Walking Dead star Danai Gurira, received a total of five nominations including Outstanding New Broadway Play, Outstanding Actress in a Play (Lupita Nyong’o) and Outstanding Featured Actress in a Play (Pascale Armand, Zainab Jah, Saycon Sengbloh).
The Color Purple earned nominations for Outstanding Revival Of a Musical, Outstanding Actress in a Musical (Cynthia Erivo) and Outstanding Featured Actress In A Musical (Danielle Brooks).
Winners will be officially announced on May 9th.
