Lifetime announced their 2016-2017 projects in development and there are a ton of star-studded things in the works, one of which is a project with Serena Williams.
Sports Illustrated Ranks The 50 Most Stylish Athletes, Including Serena Williams and Misty Copeland
The tennis star has teamed up with the network to bring viewers Sister Dance (working title), a film about the annual dance-off competition she hosts with her sister Venus. Nothing else is known about the project, but it’s one of Lifetime’s many efforts to rebrand and serve audiences more engaging content about powerful women.

Janet Jackson is also working on a series with the network. She will executive produce a show about the first and only female gangster during Prohibition, tentatively titled Queenie.
