What Kristina Blahnik, Manolo Blahnik’s niece and the business’ overseer, described as a “pop project” to “have fun” has been a big hit for the brand since its launch last week.
Rihanna x Manolo Blahnik is a limited edition, six-piece capsule shoe collection ranging from thigh-high boots to open-toe sandals. The denim designs feature sequin and embroidery inspired by Rih’s tattoos and is priced between $950-$4,265.
The 28-year-old singer is known for making hits, but the insta-success has taken the iconic shoe brand back a bit.

Although Manolo Blahnik would not provide sales numbers, they’ve experienced the most volume in purchases on their e-commerce platform. The collaboration has even increased sales in the current seasonal collection sold online.
Rih’s site-crashing Manolos are definitely a warning for other luxury brands considering a collabo to fortify their e-commerce. She’s kind of a big deal.
