Fans waiting to hear Jay Z’s thoughts on all of the speculation surrounding his marriage in light of Beyonce’s Lemonade album got their wish on Tuesday night….sort of.
Former Terror Squad group members Fat Joe and Remy Ma have been heating up 2016 since the release of their hit single “All The Way Up” back in February and now they’ve taken the song to the next level with a remix featuring none other than Mr. Carter himself.
Is Jay Z Really Planning A Response Album To Beyonce’s Lemonade?
The internet spun into a frenzy on Tuesday night as Tidal exclusively released the “All The Way Up” remix in full, featuring a verse where Jay is heard referencing all of the endless chatter about the status of his relationship with wife Beyonce, among other things.
In the opening lines on his verse, the hip hop mogul addresses the rumors of their marriage being on the rocks as he raps, “You know you made when the fact your marriage made it is worth millions.” He then goes on to quickly reference Beyonce’s new album by name before taking aim at the public’s endless infatuation with their private life. “Lemonade was a popular drink and it still is. Survival of the littest, n****s who really up versus n****s up in ya business,” he continues. The verse also includes a brief mention of the couple’s 4-year-old daughter Blue Ivy with the line, “Blue lookin like Pac in the tub.”
The song marks the first time Jay has spoken on Beyonce’s Lemonade album since it dropped last month and also comes amid heavy speculation of a completed Jay Z and Beyonce collaboration album that’s allegedly due out any day now.
