After having two collaborations under his belt with Guess and Adidas Originals, and dubbing himself a “Fashion Killa,” you wouldn’t guess that ASAP Rocky would never want to be a designer.
He doesn’t. “But I do have a lot of ideas,” he told the New York Times.
Now the Harlem rapper has brought said ideas to his new J.W. Anderson collaboration on a capsule collection of tracksuits, knit hats, and fur “teddy” coats.
ASAP Rocky, who was already a big fan of the brand, also custom designed an artsy new logo appearing on each of the pieces, reading “JWA AWGE.”
We get the JWA, but mum’s the word on the mysterious AWGE, which Rocky cryptically explained with a Fight Club-esque motto.
ASAP Rocky x J.W. Anderson is currently available for pre-order on the designer’s website.

Unlike Rocky, pop star Jason Derulo is much more forthcoming about his latest fashion aspirations.
The “If It Ain’t Love” singer recently personally invested in luxury streetwear label LVL XIII (Level 13) after being a fan of the brand since its 2013 debut.
The footwear brand is the creation of Atlanta-based independent designer Antonio Brown and includes 13 styles of sandals, sneakers, and boots made by Italian artisans.
Derulo, a self-proclaimed sneakerhead obsessed with shoes, was the one who approached Brown with the idea of a collaboration. The two clicked and the musician went from collaborator to investor.

“I work hard to really mean something and everything attached to my name has to be at the highest level,” the singer told WWD.
He will also be the face of LVL XIII when it relaunches at the next New York Fashion Week: Men’s.
